Caracal- Disclosure

Disclosure finally released another album titled Caracal. This album is amazing; every song on here is perfect. I loved this whole album front to back; I wish I didn’t just have to pick just three songs. Every feature on this album is great too, the way does Disclosure compliments artist on each song is fantastic. My three favorite songs off this album are “Omen”, “Nocturnal”, and ” Molecules”.

“Omen”-Omen was the first single off their album with none other Sam Smith. I really would absolutely love to hear Sam Smith and Disclosure do a whole album together. They sound so great together when they collaborate together on songs. The beat is great on this track so well, as it moves right alongside Sam’s voice.

“Nocturnal”- When I saw The Weeknd was featured on this album I got so excited. I got really excited because The Weeknd has such a great voice just like Sam Smith and I couldn’t wait to hear what Disclosure and The Weeknd had in store for us. I love the 80s synth vibe that this track has too it.

“Molecules” – I like the beginning of this song a lot, it has that almost funky feel that makes you want to snap your fingers. It has a nice build up to the chorus as well. The track sounds infectious that makes you want to get up and dance. This song would be a great song to remix, or throw on in a club to get people up and dancing.

This album is amazing; I haven’t heard one complaint about this album from anyone who’s heard it. Disclosure really knows how to put together a great album, and know how to work well with artist. They have a lot of features on this album and every feature is great, not one of them disappoints. I really hope that Disclosure makes it out to Coachella 2016.

Peace Is The Mission- Major Lazer

MAJOR LAZER!!! Finally Major Lazer released a new album! The new album Peace Is The Mission was released a while ago now, and I have just been really lazy about writing a review on it. This album is great all the way through from beginning to end. I love this album a lot, and I love the Cartoon that premiers on FXX as well. Most of these songs I heard on the show and was dying to get a hold of them. Now that I have them I can’t stop listening to them! My favorite songs are “Powerful”, “Lean On”, and “Night Riders”.

“Powerful” when I first heard this song On Major Lazer on FXX I fell in love. It was the song the episode titled ” Vampire Weekend”. When I heard this song it had the lead singer from the band Vampire weekend on it and not Tarrus. But Tarrus Riley does a great job on the song too. This song has Ellie Goulding singing for most of the track, and she does a great job. The beat and the lyrics are so good on this track. It’s an addicting song that you can’t stop listening; I can see this being a summer anthem of 2015.

“Lean On” is the first song I heard from this album. After one listen I couldn’t stop listening to it, I may have burned out on this song but I keep coming back to it because it’s such a chill and fun song to listen to. It’s a great song to listen to on the way to the beach or at the beach. It’s a great song all around. MØ and Dj Snake do a great job on the song as well, MØ are perfect on this track in my opinion.

“Night Riders” was the second single I believe that was released. Whatever it was I loved it too, and got me even more pumped for the album after hearing it. All the rappers on this track add a great verse to the track. Not one slacked on their part on this song; this song is a banger and could be a club anthem for sure.

This is a great album from Major Lazer in my opinion. If you haven’t heard of Major Lazer before this is a great album to start with. Every track is great, and will get you going, it will have you singing the songs out loud at the top of your lungs. I look forward to seeing Major Lazer on the list at Coachella 2015, keeping my fingers crossed!

Year Of The Caprese – Cherub

Cherub’s debut album was released yesterday; the duo did a nice job with their first album. It may just be me but to me its just an alright album. They could have done more to blow me away, I know its their first album but compared to previous projects such as MoM & DaD, and 100 Bottles this one I like the very least. Don’t get me wrong its a good album just not one I be like “oh throw that one “. My favorite songs include Doses’s and Mimosas, Strip to this, and <3. The other songs are good too but these one's just stood out of me.

Doses and Mimosas from their previous MoM & DaD is one of my all time favorite songs by them. It’s catchy and has a good beat to it. I could see this song live being really good as well; hope these guys get signed on for Coachella 2015.

Strip To This is another sexual track, no surprise there. It is thought still a good track, it’s slow and easily to understand what they are going for here on this track.

❤ is a different track where they get into their more harsher lyrics. The chorus a catchy and has a 80s feel to the whole song all together. Still they do a good job with this track all together.

The album isn't bad but it’s not over the top amazing. Its nice to have new music from them though, I will be listening to their new stuff too but I love their older stuff more. The electro pop duo knows how to make a good album, I just wasn't surprised by any of the tracks nor was I too impressed. I was just happy to hear new music by them that’s all, really want to see them live. I would think they would be pretty fun to see live.
